The refurbished M/S Marianne

During fall and winter 2013-2014 has m/s Marianne been throughly renovated and upgraded.

The roof of the wheelhouse was exchanged and the superstructure was freshened up with teak. The work was done by the famous shipwright Patrik Zimonyi.

The upgrade was done to get the ship classified for so called D-area in inner speed, whih means that m/s Marianne can travel in every harbour in Vänern if needed. This work was done by Kållandsövarvet who had a close dialogue with Transportstyrelsen (Transport agency).

Too be able to carry through above project, we have received means from various funds, private traders and the town Mariestad, that has understood the importance of preserving m/s Marianne in a good sailing condition.

We are depending  on external contributions, to be able to keep on working with the project in the future. The association is active in searchin for contributions. Even private donations are welcome from persons and companies.

No gift is too small to keep a maritime treasure like m/s Marianne.
